Marty Andrews, Tour GuideHome: Seattle, WA Marty has been building his own bikes — as well as friends’ — since he was a child. He has worked as a draftsman for engineering firms and in the winter teaches telemarking, alpine skiing, and snowboarding at Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Idaho. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, and epic mountain bike rides, preferably long singletrack journeys. When not riding, Marty volunteers for the local bike club doing trail building and maintenance. He also dabbles with a new-found love in photography and is learning how to ride a unicycle. |

Lisa Bendt, Tour GuideHome: Beaverton, OR Lisa spent eight years in corporate financial services before starting her own software training and consulting business nine years ago. Her work has taken her to all 50 states and 33 countries. After an eye-opening trip in China, Lisa completed a master's degree in Holistic Nutrition and is currently working on her Ph.D. A certified spinning instructor, Lisa also enjoys scuba diving, hiking, snowshoeing, and reading. She is learning mountaineering and ice climbing for an expedition in Nepal. She enjoys spending time as a SMART reading volunteer. Lisa shares her life with her husband, Tom. |

Sarah and one of her dogs are Pet Partners at a local hospital, visiting children in the pediatrics unit. She plays the flute and piano and is learning to play the guitar. She has one daughter. |

Bob Clark, OwnerHome: Olympia, WA A former civil engineer, Bob spent more than 20 years in heavy construction management all over the United States, South America and the Middle East. In 1984, he turned his passion for travel and cycling into a new career when he founded BA. In his spare time, Bob enjoys traveling, music, the theater, and fine dining. He regularly rides with a local cycling club and races at the national level in his age bracket. Bob has two grown daughters and a 16-year-old granddaughter. |

Kevin Dorrity, Tour GuideHome: Olympia, WA After earning a master’s degree in Japanese studies, Kevin spent six years in Japan, first as an English teacher, then two years in a monastery practicing Zen Buddhism. He also worked as an activities coordinator at a resort club in Guam and has self-guided three major bike tours in North America. Leading trips for BA blends those experiences perfectly, Kevin says. “I cannot think of a more ideal job than getting to do what I love while helping others to enjoy it,” he says. |

Kristin Gavin, Tour GuideHome: Seattle, WA Kristin fell in love with Bicycle Adventures as a guest on a tour five years ago. She was captain of the Division 1 field hockey team at the University of Richmond and now coaches high school girls lacrosse in the off season. Her team won Washington's Varsity B State Championship this year, and Kristin was named 2006 Varsity B Coach of the Year. Kristin also is working with Raleigh bikes to develop their 2007 line of women's specific bicycles. |
