South Island - Classic Tour

New Zealand is everywhere you can imagine going – and then some. Storybook landscapes with shepherds herding flocks of sheep through gentle, rolling hills; massive granite cliffs carved through by glaciers; jungle so alive with waterfalls and birdsong that you can’t hear yourself think. There are beaches pebbled with every color of the rainbow, penguins nesting in the rocks, countryside ranging from farmland to fjords.

Our 10-day bicycle tour of New Zealand lets you soak up as much of this amazing land as you desire. We’ll cycle across the north end of the South Island, and then down the west coast – from the bay-studded Banks Peninsula to wine country to jade country, through semi-tropical jungle and peaceful country regions where lake follows lake. We’ll hike on Franz Josef Glacier, kayak from our eco-lodge at Lake Moeraki, and taste the South Island’s luscious wines.
