Budget Bicycle Tours

We call our less expensive inn-to-inn trips Budget trips, but many guests who have been on them feel we are understating the level of accommodations and dining.  So perhaps “Casual” is a better descriptor; lodging that is simple but clean and well located, and dining that consists of good food in a more casual atmosphere.  But casual can imply a slow, very low-mileage ride.  These tours can be that if you wish, but most people prefer a moderate distance at a moderate pace.  “Slightly Less Luxurious Trips at a Great Price” has been suggested by guests.  That may be more accurate, but rather wordy.

So we are going to stick with calling these trips Budget tours.  That’s short, an understatement, but workable.

	Oregon Coast—Budget If six-course meals and a spa treatment aren’t necessarily critical to your enjoyment of vacation – but terrific rides through spectacular scenery, a hot shower, a great meal and a good bed are absolute necessities – then our budget tour of the Oregon Coast may be just the ticket. 	Wine Country—Budget If your idea of the perfect ‘budget-style’ trip is to have abundant possibilities for riding, idyllic scenery and amazing stops en route, with a hot shower and good bed waiting at the end of each splendid day, this is it. The best times to visit California’s wine country are in spring, when the area is ablaze with wildflowers – or later on in the season, when roses, geraniums and ripening grapes take over. 	Hawaii—Budget Not your typical budget tour, this one features shady roads lined with coconut palms and banyan trees, warm breezes and the pungent scent of the ocean. Sun-drenched coffee plantations, lava fields, tropical waterfalls and neon-hued clownfish round out the picture. We’ll follow the same routes as our luxury tour of Hawaii, but with less pricey lodging options and more modest meals.
